![]() | SWEET Centre was founded by Selome Wellington (Poet Flo-W), an artist from the Nelson Mandela Bay in February 2008. The organisation's main focus is artist development and growth. This objective is obtained by hosting regular events which unites various genres of the arts, creating exposure and enlarging communities through networking and showcasing of many talents. Poet Flo-W began her journey in the arts sector while still at primary school, developing a love for writing and poetry from the age of 12. During her high school and tertiary education she nurtured her talents through community and school projects, as well as drama and poetry societies. By the age of 19, Selome had already published 8 original poems in numerous journals and anthologies, specifically through The Poetry Institute of Africa and the Christian Poetry Association. |
